Client challenge
With a new CEO and a newly formed leadership team, the leading global organisation had a unique opportunity to redefine its operating model, shifting from a regional to a more centralised approach. Given the complexities of the sales environment and regional considerations, aligning leadership on a shared vision was key to driving a successful transformation.
What we did
Rapid discovery of organisation’s history; culture; current challenges and opportunities. Q&A sessions held with each member of executive team on their vision for future, areas for change; and their perspective on transformation.
Delivered data-led insights – Analysed areas of alignment and gaps, highlighting potential risks and the impact on transformation if not addressed. Assessed how the team would need to function effectively during the change.
Facilitated executive alignment – Hosted an offsite workshop to present findings, encourage open discussions, acknowledge differing views, and agree on practical next steps.
Defined a shared vision – Created a Positioning Paper articulating the future direction and outlining areas requiring further development.
Established a common language – Helped the leadership team adopt a shared vocabulary and approach, fostering alignment and shaping a more strategic, unified way of working.
Business outcomes
- Improved collaboration – Acknowledging different perspectives led to constructive dialogue and a unified approach to leading change vs this cause problems down the line. Recognition that this must be an ongoing process
- Defined strategic direction – A more clearly articulated vision and shared understanding of priorities enabled more focused effort for decision making
- Greater transformation readiness – The organisation was better positioned to transition to a more centralised model with leadership aligned on next steps.
We have made remarkable progress in a short space of time. We wouldn’t be where we are now if we hadn’t done this work together.
